Roman coins.
The Roman Empire may have been built on conflict but it worked on money. Whether a sestertius or denarius, every Roman needed some coins.
Year 4 were creating their own coins using themselves to portray the head of the Emperor.

Romans Vs Celts!
A huge welcome to our new Year 4! This year is going to be brilliant!. To kick off our new topic I AM WARRIOR we took Y4 to the park and drilled them as Roman soldiers. Marching, launching javelins and withstanding attacks by the fearsome Celtic warbands. The children took the role of both Celt and Roman to experience what it was like to march through a forest and suddenly be attacked.
