Marvellous Medicine

4AR have had a busy day trying to find the perfect liquid to put into Grandma's new medicine for George.
We designed our own experiment and then worked as a team to carry it out.
We were trying to find a liquid with a high viscosity.

Trust me!

This weeks school theme is 'Trust' we talked about what trust is and what makes a trustworthy person.
4AR played a trust game during Circle Time where the person in middle had to put all their trust in there team members not to drop them.
We can safely  say that we were all able to trust each other in 4AR.

Super Science

This week Year 4 have been on a trip to Catalyst to make some potions. The children had a fantastic time making different chemical reactions in our potions class. They found out about acid and akaline.
We also had a chance to look around the other parts of the museum while we were there.
In the top floor in the observatory.
In the puzzle room where we had to think hard solving puzzles.

In the experiment room.

Keep it down!

This afternoon we have been testing different materials for their sound insulating qualities. We made headphones and used them to tell how much sound they let in by using decibel metres.

Congratulations!

Meet the Year 4 Three Times VIP club!  Each child has read at home at least three times this week. In return they are rewarded with entry to our VIP Club at the end of the day.

We will do this again next week, so hear your child read three times and they will become VIPs!

The Art Of Peter Blake.

As part of our topic on music and pop culture (Playlist) Y4 are recreating the work of Pop Artist Peter Blake. Here 4CW are using oil pastel crayons to achieve the deep and vibrant colours associated with Blake.
